Was the Adani deal approved?

On Wednesday, September 18, a respected news agency in Kenya reported that the company's proposal was quickly approved within 17 days, which has led to an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the approval.

However, in a statement from the Adani Group Company, the spokesperson denied the information claiming that the company did not issue the information.

“We have come across a report published by The Standard (Kenya) claiming that the Adani Company provided information about the Kenya Airports Authority and the process of approving the proposal.

We would like to clarify that this report is completely false. The Adani Group has not issued such a statement or engaged with the media regarding this issue. We ask the media to verify the information through official channels before publishing it to avoid the spread of false information,” said the spokesperson, Adani Group.
