The body of Gilbert Kihiko Njagwa was reportedly found floating on the banks of the Molo River, causing flooding in the community.

Njagwa, who was known for his dedication to farming, is said to have been found with marks of injuries that seem to indicate brutal torture.

The grim discovery has cast a pall over the otherwise peaceful neighborhood, raising urgent questions about the growing insecurity in the area.

“It is a big shock for the residents of Molo after the body of a young man we knew was found naked, killed,” Njenga Matendo, a visibly shaken host said.

Oscar Ombweli, another resident, claimed Njagwa may have been killed elsewhere before the body was dumped in the river.

Ombweli revealed that there were tire marks leading to and from the river, thus confirming their theory about what happened.

His words revealed the shock and dismay of the community as they struggled to understand the terrible situation that had befallen one of their own.

Ombweli expressed his concern about the increase in violence in the area, and called on Nakuru governor Susan Kihika to take action.

“We would like our Molo government, through our Governor Susan Kihika, to hear about this issue because we are very concerned,” Ombweli urged.

Jane Wanjiku, a concerned resident, added her voice to the growing chorus of calls for government intervention.

“We ask the Government to cooperate with the citizens so that they can help each other, Molo is not safe, it is bad, there is so much crime that we live in great fear, even taking a child to the store causes anxiety.” Wanjiku complained.

An 18-year-old student is found dead in Trans Nzoia

In a different case, one family in Kwanza constituency, county of Trans Nzoia was in mourning after their 18-year-old daughter was found dead.

Eunice Akinyi's body was discovered in a maize field a few days after she went missing while she was going to collect her school leaving certificate from Kesse Secondary School.

Akinyi's body was discovered by a group of children in the field. The deceased was found completely naked with his hands and feet tied and a mark on his neck.
