Nakuru: 11 people injured in three-way accident involving a truck on the Nakuru-Eldoret highway

  • A trio of 14 passengers collided with a truck at the Twin Bridge area along the Nakuru-Eldoret Highway on Saturday, September 14
  • The Kenya Red Cross Society and the police rushed to the area and rescued 11 people who were trapped in the wreckage
  • KRCS confirmed that no one died as a result of the accident, and all the injured were taken to Molo Sub-County Hospital for immediate treatment

Nakuru An accident has occurred on the Nakuru-Eldoret Highway at the Twin Bridge after a 3-wheeler with 14 passengers collided with a truck.

The tragic incident happened on Saturday, September 14, leaving 11 people injured after being caught in the accident.

How many people died in the Nakuru-Eldoret road accident?

The National Red Cross Society (KRCS) confirmed that rescue teams transported all the injured to Molo Sub-County Hospital for immediate treatment. For luck good, no deaths have been reported, and the police have cleared the scene.

“A road traffic incident involving a 14-person PSV and a lorry has occurred at the Twin bridge on the Nakuru-Eldoret highway. 11 injured persons have been taken to Molo sub-county hospital by the Red Cross Kenya and the police. No deaths were reported. The police have cleared the scene,” The Kenya Red Cross said.

This incident adds to the series of accidents in the country, which has caused great concern among road users.

In response to the situation, the government has been working hard to address the issue by seriously enforcing traffic laws to enhance road safety.

The family mourns their daughter who died in the Mai Mahiu accident

Elsewhere, one family there Migori mourns the loss of their 23-year-old daughter, Becky Vivian, who died in a collision between an LPG fuel truck and a matatu on Mai Mahiu road.

Becky was in the matatu, taking their uncle home for the funeral. Her sister told TUKO.co.ke that Becky had just started work and was helping to support their siblings with school fees and other needs.
