- Businessman Jimi Wanjigi complained about the cars without registration numbers which he claims have surrounded his compound in Muthaiga
- The rich politician claimed that the cars have been parked there for a week now and have completely disrupted the communication signals
- The High Court in Nairobi recently barred the police from entering Wanjigi's home after a raid in August
A businessman Jimi Wanjigi He has claimed that people he does not know have camped outside his compound in Muthaiga and they are not giving reasons.
He posted his complaint on X.
What Wanjigi did about cars without registration numbers outside his compound
Wanjigi said the unknown people were in cars that do not have registration numbers but have devices that interfere with the house's internet.
He claimed the cars were parked there for a week until Friday, September 13.
“Why are there unmarked cars outside my residence in Muthaiga for the past week? This is a clear abuse to me and my family, this surveillance has never happened! These cars are blocking all communication in my residence!” he tweeted.
This is happening a few days after the High Court in the city Nairobi issuing an order to prevent the Directorate of Criminal Investigation (DCI) and Acting Inspector General of Police Gilbert Masengeli from entering Wanjigi's residence.
Wanjigi's house will be off limits to the officers until his case is heard and decided.
In addition, the court ordered the government's law enforcement to recover the businessman's worth of millions of shillings.
Wanjigi products that the police asked to return
Wanjigi listed expensive rings, necklaces, watches, high-end phones, mobile communication devices and cash as items police allegedly seized during their raid on his home last month.
The jewelry set included earrings, which were valued at a total of $40,319 (equal to KSh 5.2 million), and diamond and gold earrings at $6,912 (KSh 891,000).
The high-end phones included the iPhone 15 ProMax, the iPhone 14, two Samsung Flip 5 devices and a home communication device.
Others were an Apple laptop, three Apple i-Pads, a Samsung tablet and a DVR (HIKVISION Network Video Recorder).
They also allegedly won $570 (KSh 73,000) in cash.
How the court saved Wanjigi after a fierce search at home
In August, Wanjigi got relief from the High Court after the police raided his house and allegedly took the aforementioned valuables.
Judge Luck Mwamuye approved the matter as urgent and issued a conservative order to prevent the police from detaining, arresting or restricting Wanjigi's freedom.
The businessman claimed that the police did not have legitimate reasons to arrest him or associate him with the allegedly illegal substances discovered, describing the attempts as aimed at intimidating him.
