Nairobi – A young man has shared his sad story of finding himself in Kenya despite being born and raised United States.
Andy said he was in the country Kenya on a family vacation, which was the last time for them.
He did not come to the country with his birth parents, adding that he was left at a very young age.
How did Andy come to Kenya?
He spent time in foster care before being adopted, and the family welcomed him into their home.
A family that immigrated to the United States is struggling with a difficult life, asking for help to return to Kenya
“We came for vacation in Kenya when my parents left me. I don't know where they are. My friend took me off the road and brought me here, where they work. He told me we can work here and get food,” Andy said.
Andy said he had to survive by blending in with his new family in Dandora, Nairobi County.
He spoke fluent American English and shared his background and upbringing before coming to Kenya.
Andy recounts his difficult time in Kenya
One of his lowest and most challenging moments was sleeping on the streets before he found a new family.
“When people talk to me and hear the way I talk, some criticize me, saying I'm fake, while others expect me to make money. Adapting to a new life here has been difficult, but I'm trying. I've felt more Kenyan since I came here in 2020.
I look forward to that Kenyan citizenship,” he said happily.
The young man added that he could not explain the nationality of his biological parents as he hardly stayed with them in his early childhood.

A Kisumu guy living on the streets with perfect English
Besides, a local man living in the county of Poisonous he impressed many people with his impeccable English as he shared his life.
According to the boy, he is the son of Rebecca Makhulu of Kaimosi Nursery School and attended Kaimosi Primary School and Kigma Friends School for secondary education.
Netizens who saw the video were surprised by the man's English when he was speaking, and others wanted to help him.
