Pain – The investigation of the fatal fire at Hillside Endarasha College, where 21 students perished, has continued to gain momentum a few days after the tragedy.
The person in charge of the investigation is a body staple of investigation in the country; Directorate of Criminal Investigation (DCI).
Investigators began interviewing relevant stakeholders, eyewitnesses, and survivors in their quest to determine the cause of the fire.
How the owner of Endarasha School helped DCI
Very important among those interviewed so far is the owner of the school, David Kinyua, who was called on Tuesday, September 10.
His house is adjacent to the school.
Kinyua took the investigators through the infrastructure of the primary school and electrical installations to see technical errors that could cause the fire.
The director joined the investigative team for at least six hours.

Meanwhile, the Kenya Power and Lighting Company (KPLC) denied being involved in the fire that broke out on September 5 when the 156-boy dormitory caught fire.
Reports emerged that the fire could have been caused by an apparently faulty system, thus implicating the utility company.
What the authority of Kenya found out from the fire at Endarasha Academy
But after its immediate investigation, Kenya Power suggested the fire was accidental and not caused by unstable connection.
According to the company, the main way to supply the school from the Mweiga substation is low voltage.
When the fire broke out, the supply was uninterrupted without any reported incidents.
Kenya Power added that the installations, including meters, distribution cable, earthing, low voltage and high tension fuses, and transformers, were intact during the incident, thereby clearing the allegations.
The company's technicians are at the scene to complete the investigation work carried out by DCI and officials of the Ministry of Education.
