Nairobi – Former assistant minister and former member of parliament for Bomachoge Chache Simon Ogari Arama has died at the age of 68.
When did Simon Ogari Arama die?
The two-time ODM Member of Parliament died at his home in Karen, Nairobi, around 5:00 am on Tuesday, September 10.
Family sources said the former member of parliament died after a long illness at his Karen home in Nairobi.
Ogari Arama, a close associate of the veteran opposition leader Raila Odingaserved in parliament for the 10th and 11th parliaments between 2008 and 2017.
Leaders have come out on social media to mourn the former ODM MP, describing him as a polite and selfless leader.

“He was a polite, kind, and selfless man who was easy to a fault. Besides being a great leader and colleague, he was my personal friend for many years. He was a wonderful man who I will personally miss in his passing.”
