Kericho – Three people have lost their lives in a fatal road accident at Fort Ternan along the Londiani-Muhoroni Highway.
On Friday, September 6, a fatal early morning accident involved a Mercedes Benz trailer and a Nissan Double Cabin.
How did the Kericho accident happen?
According to the previous police report, the accident happened at around 6:00 in the morning when the two cars that were going in the opposite direction collided head on.
Digital Citizen Report revealed the trailer, Reg. 675V/SSD669AA was transporting LPG gas, while Nissan Double Cabin, Reg. Number GKB 450D, carried three people, a woman and two men.
Three people inside the Nissan Double Cabin died on the spot following the effects of the accident.
The driver of the trailer survived the crash and was rushed to Fortenan County Hospital, where he is receiving treatment for his injuries.
The bodies of the deceased were transferred to the mortuary of St. Vincent in Muhoron, awaiting diagnosis and surgery.
Since then, the police have launched an investigation to determine the exact cause of the accident, while efforts continue to determine the events that led to the accident.
What caused the Londiani crash?
The accident has come a few days after a truck and a Sacco of Kamtco Ltd collided, resulting in the deaths of those people and serious injuries.
According to the police, the truck driver's lack of attention caused the accident.
The heavy transporter, of Mercedes Benz make, went out of its way and hit an oncoming tricycle, killing nine people on the spot, including the driver.
