- Patrick Bahati, a young boy who studied at Pebbles Academy in Thika, allegedly died at school while participating in a race

- The little boy was taken to Montezuma Funeral Home, and the school had his smart watch, the clothes he was wearing and his shoes
A family in Thika is burdened with pain while their son Patrick Luckan eight-year-old student at Pebbles Academy, allegedly died at the institution in mysterious circumstances.
Where is Pebbles School?
According to the family, Luck aka Patty left home on a school bus, but the return trip was in a body bag to Montezuma Funeral Home on Thursday, August 29, 2024.
“It is sad that the school has refused to tell us what exactly happened to our child. They took him to Avenue Hospital Thika already dead,” said the parents through Ndung'u Nyoro on Facebook.
“It hurts her parents that the people who entrusted their children are the only people who know what happened to Patty, but they still insist on telling us about Patty's last moments,” the parents said.
That same day, Patty spoke to her mother, who was away on business, to ask her to tell the teacher that she did not want to participate in the race, but the teacher allegedly forced her to run.
According to the teacher, he collapsed during the race and never got up.
“This is just one theory; there are a million other theories contradicting Abunwasi's legends,” his parent demanded.
Pebble Academy's home visit was flawed
The parents also explained that the school's leadership was reported to have no regrets; when they visited the house, they brought Patty's school bag, and instead of handing it to her parents, they hid it behind the chairs.
“When we visited the school yesterday to collect her remaining belongings, they asked us to wait at the gate.. When we entered the office, the director told us that he was not at liberty to tell us what happened to Patty because he was consulted by a lawyer,” the parents said.
“Mama Patty was free to enter the office as a parent but her child was no longer there, she could only be served at the gate. They kept other parents in the dark about what happened at school that day,” he added.
