18 Injured After Private Car, 2 Threes Collide On Narok-Mai Mahiu Road

  • An accident involving a private car and two rickshaws on the Narok-Mai Mahiu highway has left about 18 people injured
  • The injured were taken to the Narok County Referral Hospital for treatment, while the vehicles were towed to the police station
  • This comes after the Londiani accident that claimed the lives of nine people and left three others injured

Narok – 18 people narrowly escaped death in an accident involving a private car and two tricycles on the Narok-Mai Mahiu highway on Tuesday, September 3.

How did the Narok-Mai Mahiu road accident happen?

The police report shows that one tricycle swerved on the road and hit another tricycle on the right rear side.

At the same time, the driver of a private car also ventured into the opposite lane and collided head-on with a tricycle.

Nosim FM reported that 18 injured persons were taken to Narok County Referral Hospital for treatment.

The two tricycles and a private car were towed to the local police station while the investigation continues.

9 people died in the Londiani accident

The Narok accident follows an accident that killed nine people on the Londiani-Muhoroni Highway on Tuesday, September 3.

According to a police report reviewed by TUKO.co.ke, the driver of a Mercedes Benz truck lost control, swerved, and collided with an oncoming matatu Poisonous.

The bodies including the driver, were kept at the St Vincent Mission Hospital mortuary before identification.

Three people, one child and two adults, survived the accident with serious injuries and have been admitted to Muhoroni Sub-County Hospital.

The PSV tricycle was crushed and scraps remained, the pieces of the seats being the only evidence that the remains of the accident were terrible. The truck was reportedly carrying flour.

It was towed to Kipsitet Police Station. Police immediately launched a manhunt for the trailer driver, who fled the scene unharmed.
