Nakuru: Bodaboda Operator Returns Home From Work, Finds His House Destroyed By Fire

Nakuru – Simon Ng'etich, a bodaboda operator from Kuresoi North, was left devastated after returning from work to find his house in ashes.

The tragic incident happened while Simon was out at work, leaving him with nothing but the clothes he was wearing.

In an interview with TUKO.co.ke, Simon revealed that he has been worried about the electricity connection in his house for several days.

According to him, the lights have been alternating between bright and dim, a sign of an underlying issue that needed to be addressed urgently.

“The lights kept alternating between bright and dim, so I planned to get a mechanic to fix it,” Simon explained, his voice heavy with sadness.

For luck bad, before the repair was done the damage happened.

Simon suspects that faulty wiring may have caused two wires to touch each other, causing the fire that destroyed his home.

As the fire continued, neighbors rushed to the scene but were unable to save Simon's belongings, fearing that the gas cylinder inside the house might explode.

Their fears were confirmed when a gas container exploded, fueling the already raging fire.

“It was difficult to save property because everyone was afraid about the gas inside,” Simon narrated, the pain of the loss was clearly seen in his words.

The fire has left Simon heartbroken. Now he faces the daunting task of rebuilding his life from scratch.
