Bobi Wine, Opposition Leader in Uganda Allegedly Shot by the Police

  • In June 2019, he announced his candidacy for the 2021 presidential election in Uganda.
  • He participated in the 2021 election but was defeated by the current President Yoweri Museveni.

Politician and opposition leader in the country Uganda Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu, aka Bobi Wine, was allegedly shot in the leg in Bulindo, Uganda.

In a statement on X, his social services manager said that Bobi Wine is currently receiving treatment.

Bobi Wine's manager further promised to share more information about his health.

Our President Bobi Wine has been shot in the leg by the police in Bulindo!

Bobi Wine is a Ugandan activist, politician, singer, lawyer, and actor. He is a former Member of Parliament for Kyadondo East County Constituency in Wakiso District, in the Central Region of Uganda.

Bobi Wine is also the leader of the National Unity Platform political party.
