Mwangi, known for his unwavering activism, was instrumental in the recent anti-government protests that led to the scrapping of the controversial Finance Bill 2024.

On Sunday, September 1, Mwangi was seen at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA), where he loudly continued his activism.

In a video captured overnight, Mwangi emotionally chanted, “Ruto must go,” accusing President William Ruto of excessive borrowing and siphoning off public resources.

He went on to describe Ruto as a “slave master” and a “puppet” of foreign nations, stressing that the president's actions are harmful to the country.

“I am at the airport and Ruto has gone to China to borrow money. Ruto must go. He is borrowing money from whites and Asians. They are poor. Ruto must go. He must go wherever you go. Remember this: he must go. He is a puppet master.” Mwangi claimed in the video.

Why did Ruto go to China?

As previously reported, Ruto left the country on Sunday evening, September 1, for an official visit to China.

Ruto will lead the delegation of Kenya at the 9th Meeting of the Cooperation Council between China and Africa (FOCAC).

This meeting will bring together the heads of African countries, the leaders of China and the African Union with the aim of strengthening relationship between China and Africa.
