The Kenyan posted pictures of himself as he planned his next move after the troubled Olympics.

The 39-year-old star failed to finish the marathon in Paris and had to take a Paris taxi to the edge. He was looking to become the first man to win Olympic gold for the third time in a row.

“This is a marathon that has gone very wrong for me. I have never failed to finish my race. That is life. As a boxer, I have been knocked down, I have failed, I have placed second, eighth, 10th, fifth – now I have won. That is life,” he said via Olympics.com.

It remains to be seen if he will participate in the 2028 Games in Los Angeles.

He visited various tourist attractions, including the famous Sagrada Familia cathedral.

Kipchoge returned Kenya immediately after the completion of the Games, where Kenya won 11 medals, including four gold.

The Kenyan star has participated in two marathons so far in 2024 and did not manage to win any of them. He finished 10th in the Tokyo Marathon in March.

Kipchoge's message to Kenyans

The 39-year-old star thanked his fellow citizens, stressing that the marathon fire in Kenya is still burning brightly.

“Thank you to all my Kenyan fans who have been praying for the Kenyan Team and myself, you have been helping me to make Kenya a country of racing stars and let us continue to defend raising our flag high. The future of Kenya is as strong as the marathon race is” said via NOCK.
