Video of the tomato from Meru trying to talk to a reporter in English has emerged on social media and amused Kenyans.
The lady who wanted to contribute to something that the journalist asked, started by asking in which language she should answer.
In the region of TikTok online, the elderly woman said she could answer in Meru, Kiswahili, and English, adding that she was comfortable using all those languages.
“Speak to me in English, Meru or Kiswahili? OK. Good afternoon, everyone. Should I say everything and the nini…? (stuttering). It doesn't matter, as long as it's not my language. Therefore, I want to say I will speak in Kiswahili,” he said while the locals around him burst into laughter.
