- A young student couldn't believe his eyes after being forced to break the phone he took to school, breaking the law in the process
- The boy who attends Butula Boys' High School was seen making a phone call and breaking it little by little, and many Kenyans said it was the right move since he broke the law
- According to the teachers, they didn't waste time calling the parents to find out why he was carrying the phone, they dealt with him on the spot
A student of Butula Boys' High School witnessed a difficult moment just a few days after returning to school when he was forced to crush the phone after playing it in school.
Why Butula high school teachers forced a student to break his phone
In a video shared by Ndung'u Nyoro, the young man is seen with a hammer squatting next to his phone. He looks at it first, not believing what will happen to him, before he starts to break it.
The teachers without the cameras encouraged him to continue, and gave reasons not to give another temporary punishment after breaking the school rules.
“Crush that phone; I want to see the powder. We don't have time to send you to find your parents; we're taking care of you right here. Call even if it's your father's,” said one of the teachers.
Kenyans are talking about the video
Mueni Kisonge:
“I think it's a good punishment. Why bother a parent when he's on his way to pick it up?”
GA Cucu AND Nyoks:
“Oooh noo, but it's good, sometimes he'll follow the rules.”
Kopiron Kipchirchir:
“Why doesn't he pick up the phone and punish the boy in some other way.”
Dannick Mokua:
“I approve of this. Keep it for them, they'll be right to risk it; destroy it, they won't risk coming up with it. Way to go.”
Entity Ole Mohu:
“The rules are there to be followed…it's not a good feeling although I support this, a lesson learned the hard way.”
KaGo Wa Nduta:
“With a smart phone 📱? With all the dirty video apps, I follow the punishment.“
Leila Nyambura:
“It's better. For him and the buyer. The rules are the rules.”
