Zabron Singers soloist Marco Joseph sadly passed away while receiving treatment.
Victoria, the deceased's sister, spoke to Nairobi News only about the last moments and his brother's illness.
He revealed that they were to travel together to Poisonous when he was sick. Victoria revealed that she stayed behind to receive treatment.
The singer said that his brother's doctor had informed them that he needed emergency surgery and was being treated.
Victoria pointed out that the body was in the morgue.
“He had to stay behind to get treatment. The doctors said that his heart was in a bad condition and that he needed emergency surgery. He was undergoing heart treatment last night, but sadly he did not make it. At the moment, the body is still in the mortuary,” he said.
When did Marco Joseph die?
According to the chairman of Zabron Singers, the lead singer died on the night of August 21 in Dar es Salaam hospital.
In a Facebook post, Obeid Kazimili, the chairman, said the group will release more information about Marco's funeral soon.
“As the chairman of Zabron Singers, I regret to announce the death of our singer Marco Joseph Bukulu, who was also the vice chairman, has died in Dar es Salaam in a hospital known as Jakaya,” he said.
Kenyans shared their condolence messages to the singer's family and friends through social media.

Shortly after news of his death spread, photo of Marco and other choir members during their visit to the country Kenya it emerged.
They celebrated the inauguration of President William Ruto to sing his favorite song. In the Hand of the Lord, the Zabron Singers describe how God has held their hands and lifted them up.
A photo captured at the Nairobi Palace, showed Ruto and his wife Rachel in the middle of female choirs.
Marco and other men were seen standing behind. Everyone in the Kasarani hall rose to their feet when Marco and the choir sang the song.
