Where was the plane heading before the accident

According to media reports in the country, the small plane was taking off from Bangkok airport towards the southern region the west of the coast known for its beaches.

Seven tourists were traveling in a Cessna 208B Grand Caravan to the Trat region when the tragedy occurred.

Initial reports indicate that the plane crashed into a mangrove forest in Chachoengsao at 3.18 pm before catching fire.

The rescue team has already arrived at the scene of the tragedy to search for the missing passengers and crew.

What people who witnessed the Thai plane crash said

The wreckage of the small plane was found in the mud in the mangrove forest at the crash site; Women's clothes and a photo of three foreign women were found at the scene.

A local resident said he heard a loud explosion before running to the crash site, where he discovered pieces of the plane.

“There were explosions in the sky, before the plane crashed, the sound was loud, then the plane fell to the ground. After that, I ran to see the scene. Parts of the plane were scattered all over, including near the house,” Ang Trasawat said.

Another witness said the small plane descended towards the field before crashing into the swamp.

“Then the plane descended towards the fields and landed in the mangrove forest, it was a small white plane with two wings, after the accident there was a big explosion,” he said.
