Nairobi – Declaration of Unity One Kenya Coalition Party Leader Raila Odinga has announced that he is taking a break from local politics.

During a press conference on Wednesday, August 21, the former prime minister revealed that he will be changing his direction.

Raila explained that he will be focused on his campaign for the chair of the African Union Commission (AUC).
“You know I will start working on this continent once I am elected and that will be in February next year. I am currently participating in the campaign, but that does not mean that Kenya it will cease to exist.
I will not be very active in Kenyan politics from now on as I continue to focus on the continental campaign. But it is a phase of transition from the active politics of Kenya towards the politics of the African continent,” he said.
