Know the causes of severe pain during bowel movements

Severe pain or inability to defecate or urinate is a problem that is caused by various diseases and is a condition that affects many people in the world. In professional language it is called dysuria, which is a severe irritation.

According to information from Harvard Health Education, dysuria it is often caused by a bacterial infection in the urinary tract ie Urinary Tract Infection (UTI). Also sexually transmitted diseases such as gonorrhea, syphilis and others can cause this condition.

Although people of all ages are at risk of developing a UTI, a higher number is reported among women.

Symptoms of UTI

  • Fever
  • Pain in the ribs (this indicates that the infection is very severe)
  • Pain below the navel
  • Sometimes passing bloody urine

When bacteria (antibiotics) attack and destroy the wall of the urinary tract by exfoliating it, they cause sores that cause pain when you urinate.

What causes pain?

Sexually transmitted diseases: These diseases are of different types, for example, there are syphilis, gonorrhea and chlamydia which affect men a lot, and make a person feel pain when urinating. Often the symptoms are similar to those of a UTI and sometimes pus may come from the genitals. To protect yourself from this disease, you are advised to use protection (condom), and to be intimate with one partner

Schistosomiasis: This ni a very dangerous disease and it can also cause pain when urinating and its symptoms overlap with other sexually transmitted diseases, but a person with this disease has blood in his urine. This is a sign of insects aggressively attacking the urinary tract. Most of the people who are at risk of getting this disease are fishermen or people who work in dirty water areas.

Urinary tract infection or UTI: In the infection of this way, the patient experiences different symptoms, such as fever, pain below the navel, pain in the ribs and just below the ribs, especially when urinating and when the urine comes out, one feels as if it is burning.
