The motion to dismiss him, initiated and approved by the MCAs of the County Assembly Meruaccused him of misconduct, unconstitutionality, and abuse of office, charges he denied.

The former governor, although he did not mention a specific Bible verse, spoke in biblical terms to encourage himself and others who have faced setbacks due to false accusations.

“Today the Lord will fight for you and your house, he will give you permanent victory in every area of ​​your life. A new beginning of a victorious life begins for you and you will have a great testimony. Every door of blessing will open for you, it will be open,” said Mwangaza.

He claimed that one day people will have the opportunity to testify about the hardships they endure.

“Every lost opportunity will be restored, a divine visitation from heaven that will turn all the bad situations in your life into good will manifest today,” he added.

At the same time, residents of Meru county erupted with joy following the Senate's decision on Mwangaza.

A group of people were arrested following the late night trial and they could not hide their joy after the governor was finally acquitted.
