Angry Parents, Demolish the House of Your Son Who Called Polytheists: “Supposedly Now I Have Become a Witch?”

• A situation of concern arose in Kisii when a man by the name of Arati Momanyi and his wife decided to demolish one of their children's houses
• Momanyi complained that the children he raised have turned against him and his wife, even threatening their lives
• The local chief Dickson Omaywa said that land conflicts in Momanyi compound have been going on for a long time

A state of anxiety prevailed in the village of Kiamachongo, county of Kisiiwhen elderly parents demolished their son's house in anger.

Why Kisii parents demolished their son's house?

The dispute is reported to stem from an ongoing land dispute involving Arati Momanyi, his wife and their children.

According to Citizen Digital, Momanyi and his wife started demolishing the mud house of one of their sons after allegedly threatening their lives and accusing them of witchcraft.

The local chief Dickson Omaywa said that land disputes between Momanyi and his three sons have been frequent, making the house unsafe.

Elder Momanyi's sons have reportedly turned against him and are alleged to be plotting to kill him in order to inherit the family land.

Momanyi, sharing his perspective with difficulty, questioned why the children he raised have now turned against him and their mother.

“I ask the government, is this really right? And if a person gets old, does it mean he becomes a witch? Why do they want to drive me out of my land?” he asked.

A Kenyan man says that he always fights with his father

In a separate incident, a young man narrated relationship his broken wife and father while seeking advice from social media users.

The confused and heartbroken man, whose name was withheld, said the father-son relationship began a few years ago.

The 23-year-old man said they always end up disagreeing whenever he talks to his father.

The two men could not live together peacefully, which made the young man leave home and look for another place to live.
